The game began with a cryptic sticker. Distributed at ComiCon 2007 and sent to boards with a letter from Tom Tooman postmarked North Dakota. The sticker has Olmec/Maya numbers that refer to an ip address (translate the numerical symbols at sticker's bottom: 20724697187). String morse code posing as barcode, and stars that refer to a specific point of view. A password is deciphered from the barcode through trial and error.

This guide uses posts from an off-game players' site, Unfiction to showcase how plot emerges interactively. The game is incomplete without player perception.
